A Hyperice Hypervolt "Massage Gun" guided by your therapist, uses vibration and pressure to relax muscles and reduce tension.
The use of percussion (Hypervolt massage gun) can help to gently release tension in the muscles. Percussion therapy increases blood flow and lymphatic circulation which allows more oxygen and nutrients to reach the muscles. It also helps stimulate atrophied or inactive muscles.
This add-on is especially helpful in areas that may be more sensitive to pressure. It can be applied in a Swedish relaxation massage.
It is also helpful to use it as a warm-up to an area before applying deep pressure. Generally, the use of a hypervolt will make the massage session more efficient. It relaxes the superficial layers very quickly, reducing the time it takes to comfortably get to that deep tissue pressure.

Aromatherapy is believed to have a range of therapeutic effects including: reducing anxiety, increasing relaxation, improving sleep, increasing circulation, boosting mood, reducing seasonal allergy symptoms, increasing energy, decreasing headaches, relieving joint and muscle pain, reducing inflammation, improving digestion, and increasing immune system functions.
Aromatherapy can also encourage a more spa-like ambiance during your massage. Besides it's therapeutic effects, the use of aromatherapy during a massage helps clients to feel pampered. It is highly encouraged to consider this when purchasing a gift certificate for others.
A combination of hot towels, Prossage and Biofreeze on one site-specific area.
The moist heat helps dilate blood vessels, increase circulation, relax soft tissues, and relieve pain.
The Prossage relaxes thermoreceptors and increases the flow of oxygen to promote a myofascial release for a deeper massage.
Biofreeze makes the skin feel cool. The menthol helps with vasodilation, increasing blood flow to the area. It is commonly used in pain relief and recovery.
Whether you are getting more of a deep tissue massage or more of a relaxation Swedish massage, Biofreeze Contrast Therapy can help give the massage a therapeutic boost to address your main focus area.
Biofreeze contains 5% menthol

Warm stones are incorporated into your massage session. The heat dilates the blood vessels and loosens the muscles, allowing for a deeper massage without it feeling like 'deep tissue.' For many people, hot stones are more relaxing than a customized massage. This is particularly good for those who are getting a massage for mental health reasons. For example, to reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression. The warm stones amplify many of the benefits of a massage. This enhancement is well-paired with aromatherapy and the combination makes for an excellent experience for someone who is receiving a gift card.

There is a description of the above image and summary of each of the mechanisms of action mentioned.
This article was published online in 2018. It is a good place to start if you are wondering about the 'science' of cupping.
Continuing education classes for Licensed Massage Therapists state cupping to be effective and low risk for the majority of clients. They state cupping is similar to myofascial release and acupuncture.
If you have allergies, please inform your therapist prior to treatment and check the ingredients.
